Tom Brevoort - 5 Quick Questions

Tom Brevoort is an American comic book editor. Since the 1980s, he has worked for Marvel Comics. Brevoort started as an intern and worked his way up to an assistant editor and later an editor in his own right. As of 2007, he holds the title of Executive Editor with Marvel and is responsible for multiple series including New Avengers, Civil War, and Fantastic Four.

He agreed to answer 5 Quick Questions:

1) What would you say is your greatest achievement in comics?

Just being able to remain in comics for close to 20 years. Outside of that, it's really for other people to say what teh best stuff I've worked on might have been.

2) Who was your favorite writer or artist that you worked with & why?

I don't think it's possible to select one writer or artist as my absolute best or favorite, not without slighting too many other people. But it's always cool to work with Stan Lee, or simply exchange greetings with him and realize that he knows who I am.

3) What character you have never worked .., would you like to do & why?

In terms of the Marvel characters, I think the only major one I've never really handled has been Daredevil, so maybe at some point down teh line.

4) Who are your influences?

Stan, Julie Schwartz, Mark Gruenwald, Jack Kirby, etc.

5) What hero or villain would you like to change if you could and why?

I don't know, I don't typically look to go changing around heroes or vilains. If I like them, then I like them for who and whay they are, and if I don't like them, then I'm not in a big rush to use them.
