TOP COW ANNOUNCES SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE

TOP COW TO PARTNER WITH MAYHEM COMICS

Top Cow Productions, Inc. proudly announced today that they have reached an agreement with Mayhem Comics and Games to offer a subscription service for Top Cow’s entire line of new comics to readers.

Mayhem Comics and Collectibles, founded by Dave Cory and Rob Josephson in Iowa in 1990, sells discount comic books, role playing games and supplies, collectible card games, t-shirts, anime and toys in two retail locations and online. The subscription service with Top Cow would provide subscribers with home delivery of their favorite Top Cow titles the week each comic is released packed in a free comic bag and board for its protection.

“We are incredibly thrilled to finally be able to offer a subscription service to our fans that don’t have a local comic shop near them,” said Filip Sablik, Publisher of Top Cow Productions, “Mayhem Comics and Collectibles has a fantastic reputation for taking care of their customers and we can’t think of a better partner.”

“It’s a great way for those customers who don’t have a local shop or are unable to get to one to read these great stories.” said Chris Pellack, Mayhem’s Mail Order Manager. “The way the economy is right now, it is very practical for consumers to have their books delivered, especially with Top Cow’s pledge to keep their books at $2.99 through 2009.” Pellack added.

Subscriptions are offered in runs of six or twelve issues for ongoing titles, such as Witchblade and The Darkness, as well as full runs of each mini-series at a discounted and guaranteed price. The price guarantee ensures that, in addition to the cover price discount, even if the comic raises its cover price or if a special issue is priced above the regular cover price, subscribers will only pay their original subscription price. Additionally, as part of the agreement Mayhem has pledged that the comics will be in subscribers’ hands within seven days after the direct market.

“Due to our centralized location, many subscribers will receive their books by the weekend after its release. But seven days should be plenty of time for the post office to deliver the books.” Pellack said.

Mayhem’s commitment to providing its customers with great value and service was one of the motivating reasons for Top Cow’s decision to select the comic store as their subscription partner.

In addition to The Darkness and Witchblade subscriptions for a complete run of all five issues of Black Vault and six issues of Impaler are currently offered, with more titles to come. Fans interested in subscribing should visit www.mayhemcomics.com for more information.
