Headline the Largest Wizard World Guest List Ever
With an ever-expanding list of celebrity creators, actors and athletes, the wildly popular Wizard World Philadelphia comic convention is growing exponentially in 2009. Wizard World has partnered with the Video Game Expo, the largest show of its kind on the East Coast, and the guest list for Philly is bursting at the seams with celebrity guests including: Garth Ennis (The Boys writer); Emma Caulfield (“Anya on Buffy: The Vampire Slayer”); Edward James Olmos (“Battlestar Galactica,” “Blade Runner,” “Stand and Deliver”), as well as the “Incredible Hulk” Lou Ferrigno.
“This year’s lineup of guests will have someone for everyone, as well as many of the biggest names, artists and illustrators in the industry,” said CEO Gareb Shamus. “If you are a fan of anything in pop culture today, Wizard World will be the place to be Father’s Day weekend.”

Wizard World Philadelphia Comic-Con also will play host to the Video Game Expo (VGXPO), which attracted more than 24,000 fans in 2008, with competitors facing each other in the "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" tournaments, played on the Nintendo Wii, as well as "Halo 3" tournaments played on the Xbox 360. VGXPO also will feature "Breaking In" seminars aimed at providing employment tools and educational resources to people that want to find jobs in the video game industry.
